Motivating and Leading Volunteers   

Whether leading a club, a non-profit or a religious organization, being able to lead and motivate volunteers is essential to success. This highly-interactive three-part course focuses on the rewards and challenges of leading volunteers and helps to develop the "servant leadership" skills needed to engage and retain your organization's volunteers.


Topics Include:
- Session 1
o The rewards and challenges of leading volunteers
o Understanding and applying the concept of servant leadership
o Creating and communicating a vision, mission and plan to accomplish your organization's goals

- Session 2
o Dealing with different personality styles
o Handling conflicts and disagreements
o Fostering high levels of teamwork and communication

- Session 3
o Leading through motivation and influence rather than authority
o Techniques for engaging and retaining volunteers
o The importance of appreciation and recognition
