Let's Make Colorful Anodized Niobium Earrings    NEW!

This is a 2-day class. On day one: Students will conceptualize and form their metal for their earrings. Each piece will be cut, formed, have holes, and be ready to be assembled. 
 On day two:  The magic happens! Students will learn about the anodizing process and the relationship between voltage and color development.  They will use an anodizer to color their creations. Anodizing can be accomplished safely in your home by following a few simple steps.   The instructor will demonstrate how to anodize using nine to ten 9v batteries, so that if students want to continue anodizing, they can do it at home.

Note: Please be aware that there is a certain level of manual dexterity and hand strength needed for this class.
