Ft. King National Landmark NEW!
In this two-part event, participants will travel back in time while enjoying a presentation from an expert with the Ft. King Heritage Foundation about the Ft. King National Historic Landmark. The first class date will be held at MTP in a classroom where participants will learn about the fort itself, when and why it was built in Ocala, and hear stories of those who lived there. The next week, they will travel to the site to see part of the reconstructed fort first-hand. Directions and additional information for the field trip will be given the first day of class. Participants will be driving to the site independently.
