What's On Your Mind? Financial Q and A NEW!
At any stage of life, it can be difficult to get free or low-cost unbiased answers to financial questions. Commission-based financial services professionals typically charge a percentage of investment (e.g., mutual fund or annuity) deposits and many fee-only advisors charge flat rates, hourly rates, or a percentage of assets under management (AUM). In addition, younger advisors may not fully appreciate the financial concerns of older adults who are 30 to 40 years older than they are. Got money questions? Perhaps you are a financial "do it yourselfer" or you have an advisor and are looking for a "second opinion." This class is for you! It will feature five 8-minute presentations on key financial topics (budgeting/cash flow, credit/debt, saving/investing, decumulation (spending down), and income taxes) followed by five 10-minute sessions for follow-up questions (asked via index cards). The class will be taught by an age 65+ certified financial planner® who does not sell financial products or advice to consumers.
