Port vs Portugal - Premium NEW!
Lecture and tasting of Portuguese dry red wines and fortified Port wines. Fortified Port wines are Portugal's claim to fame, however, a transition is underway to emphasize the production of dry red wines, using Port wine grapes. In this seminar, we'll compare wines made with the same grapes; fortified (sweet Port wines) and un-fortified (dry red table wines). Prepare for a delicious excursion into Portuguese enology!
Note: Students must 21 or older and bring a wine glass to the class.
This course will include a tasting of up to 9 1.5-ounce tastings of various wines. All registered participants are fully aware alcohol will be distributed in the classroom for possible consumption and will accept full responsibility for transportation to and from the classroom.
