Now in its second year, the Film Derby challenges teams of students and local mentors to create original short films under intense time constraints, with mandatory prompts for props, dialogue, and characters. This immersive experience emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and real-world filmmaking skills. Join Laurie Zink as she shares insights into the event’s growth, its impact on students' futures in video production, and the supportive community that helps make it all possible. This course also highlights opportunities for students to pursue scholarships and careers in the fast-growing field of video media and digital technology.
