Particle Soup    NEW!

We humans have always been curious about our Universe as we pursue answers to questions like, "Where did it come from?," "Where’s it going?," "What is it composed of?" Physics seeks to answer these along with many other questions, and in doing so, we have basically three areas of study: Astrophysics (the ultra large), Classical Physics (our everyday world) and Particle Physics (the ultrasmall).

In this talk, we will focus on the fascinating world of Particle Physics where we’ll explore the deepest secrets of our Quantum world. This will lead us to what we believe today are the basic building blocks of our entire world. We’ll ponder, “How can something smaller than the sharp point of a pin build the vast Universe we all live in?” You’ll come to appreciate that our answers challenge our intellect, our imagination and our experience.
