Faux Stained Glass- Crushed Glass and Resin Art    NEW!

Bring the sparkle of stained glass into your home. No glass cutting required. In this hands-on 2-3 hour workshop, choose from a variety of laser-cut wooden frames (6", 12") and fill the open spaces with crushed glass, resin, mica pigments and embellishments to create a light-catching faux stained glass panel or sun catcher.

Whether you pick a delicate floral, whimsical animal, seasonal motif, or a geometric modern panel, the laser-cut frames provide the crisp, professional outlines so you can focus on color, texture and design. No drawing or glasswork needed.

What's Included:

  • Choice of laser-cut frame (multiple designs and sizes available: 6" & 12")
  • Assortment of crushed glass, glass nuggets, shells, and mix-ins (glitter, mica powders, etc.)
  • Art-grade epoxy resin and resin supplies (mixing cups, stir sticks, heat gun/torch for bubbles)
  • Acrylic paints or stains to finish/paint the frame if desired
  • Transfer/adhesive backing and hanging hardware for window display
  •  Gloves, safety glasses and basic PPE supplied
  • Step-by-step instruction, demos, and troubleshooting help

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to select a laser-cut frame and plan color placement for light effects
  • Techniques for arranging crushed glass and embellishments so resin cures smoothly
  • Proper mixing, pouring, and bubble-removal for epoxy resin
  • Simple finishing touches — painting/staining frames and adding hangers

Safety & Prep:

  • Resin safety basics and PPE use are covered in class; nitrile gloves and tweezers.
  • We work in a well-ventilated area; please let us know if you need special accommodations.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little craft-splattered.

Duration: 2–3 hours (resin will cure after class: take-home instructions and boxed transport included)
