Orange County History Center    NEW!

Participants will visit the Orange County Regional History Center in downtown Orlando to explore more than 12,000 years of Central Florida's past. Through a guided tour, engaging exhibits, and interactive activities, including a historic courtroom experience, they will discover the region's diverse cultures, industries, and milestones. This immersive program offers a rich blend of storytelling and hands-on learning in a beautifully restored 1927 courthouse.

This field trip will consist of 5 stop stations including:
• Hands-on Workshop in the Activity Room
• Mock trial in the 1927 Courtroom
• Tour stops in three exhibits, which could include a STEM challenge or historic cameo actor performance subject to availability:
o Natural Environment
o Pioneers and Seminoles
o Tourism and Transportation
o Celebrating Community

Itinerary:

-8 .am.: Arrive at MTP to Board Bus

-8:15 a.m.: Leave MTP for History Center

-10 a.m.: Arrive at the History Center

-10:30 a.m.: 2-hour tour

-12:45 p.m.: Short walk to restaurant of participant choice

-2:45 p.m.: Arrive back at History Center to load bus to head back to MTP

-4:45 p.m. (appx): Arrive back at MTP

 

Master the Possibilities will be providing transportation by bus for this trip. As such, the bus fare is already included as part of the cost for this course. Depending on the length of the drive, one or more bathroom stops will be included. Bottled water will also be available on request.
