Kitchen Chemistry II: Painting With Electricity    NEW!

Now that the know the basics, let’s dive into the possibilities of anodizing. In this fast-paced creative class, learn to paint your colors on metal using sponges, paintbrushes, paper and more. Learn various methods of masking your metals to selectively add colors to your designs. Students will learn how to subtract colors to make way to add additional designs.


As always, there is an emphasis on safety in the studio as well as best practices for maximizing your success! Anodizing is a process that can easily and safely be done in your own home with minimal expense and 9V batteries. Therefore, demonstrations of the anodizing process with batteries will be available during class. 

For safety: Please wear cotton clothing and closed-toe shoes. No loose-fitting clothes. Long hair must be pulled back. Please be aware: This class requires a certain amount of manual dexterity and hand strength.
