These classes relate to artistic or craft production when the principal medium is glass.
Stained Glass Beg. Panel- 12" x 12": Step (2)

This class is designed for those who are continuing their journey into Stained Glass using the copper foil method. Students must choose a pre-existing stained glass pattern provided by the instructor. Students will be taken step by step through pattern preparation, cutting and fitting glass, foiling, soldering and framing the panel.

Students will take home a 12"x12" panel ready for hanging, with no more than 20 pieces. Please wear old clothes and closed toe shoes.
Note: Prerequisite- Must have some current glass cutting experience. For all-day scheduled classes, there will be a 30-minute lunch break. Lunch is on-own.

This workshop is designed for those who have previously taken a beginner stained glass class. Instruction is for the copper foil method. Projects and patterns will be determined during the first class. Project size cannot exceed 16" x 22." Students must either have their own supplies or coordinate with instructor. Must have stained glass experience within the last 3 years. Note: There is a supply fee between $25 to $50, depending on which project is chosen by the participant. For all-day scheduled classes there will be a 30-minute lunch break. Lunch is on-own. Please wear closed-toe shoes and old clothes, or bring an apron.

Beg. Stained Glass- Suncatchers: Step 1

Beginners welcome! Come learn all you need to know to make beautiful works of art in stained glass. You will learn each of the steps: choosing a pattern and glass, cutting out the pattern, cutting your glass, grinding the edges of the glass to accept the foiling stage, soldering all of the parts together and cleaning for a finished piece. Please wear old clothing and closed-toe shoes. Students must be able to use hand tools, i.e. pliers, soldering iron, etc.

Fused Glass Houses

Let's build a 3-dimensional house! Journey with the instructor from the initial design to final completion. We will cover walls, doors, windows, roofs, shrubbery, trees, and whatever else we can think of! It can be an everyday design, a beach house, a haunted house with ghosts, or a winter house, or a spring house with flowers. Your choice, your design! This is an Intermediate/Advanced class.

Prerequisite: Must have taken GLA105 and GLA108. Please wear closed-toe shoes and old clothes, or bring an apron.
