Beginners welcome. Learn how to make beautiful works of art in stained glass. Learn each of the steps: choosing a pattern and glass, cutting out the pattern, cutting your glass, grinding the edges of the glass to accept the foiling stage, soldering all of the parts together and cleaning for a finished piece. Note: Students must be able to use hand tools, i.e. pliers, soldering iron, etc.

Continue developing stained glass skills while creating a 12" x 12" panel using the copper foil method. Participants must select a pattern provided by the instructor and receive step-by-step guidance in pattern preparation, glass cutting and fitting, foiling, soldering, and framing. Each participant will leave with a finished panel of no more than 25 pieces, ready to hang. Prerequisite: Current glass cutting experience is required. All day classes include a 30 minute lunch break. Lunch is on your own.

Bring some winter whimsy to the kiln in this playful fused glass class. Students will create a 5" x 9" fused glass panel featuring a silly snowman scene: think crooked smiles, goofy expressions, scarves flying, and lots of personality. Work with a variety of embellishments such as frit, stringers, confetti, and specialty glass to add texture and detail to your snowman and snowy background. Glass cutting is helpful but not necessary; the instructor will provide guidance and alternative methods so everyone can successfully complete their project. This workshop is designed for those who have previously completed the Beginner Stained Glass Panel Step 2 class (GLA108). Instruction is for the copper foil method. Projects and patterns will be determined during the first class. Project size cannot exceed 16" x 22." Students must either have their own supplies or coordinate with instructor. Must have stained glass experience within the last 3 years. 

Note: The supply fee will depend on project size and materials used. For all-day scheduled classes there will be a 30-minute lunch break. Lunch is on-own. Please wear closed-toe shoes and old clothes, or bring an apron.

Create a charming fused glass Christmas village that captures the warmth and magic of the season. In this class, students will design a festive village scene approximately 6" x 10," using a variety of glass colors along with premade embellishments, frit, and stringers. Glass cutting experience is helpful and allows for more detailed and complex designs, but it is not required. A perfect seasonal project that makes a beautiful holiday display or a treasured handmade gift.

Designs can range from simple and playful to detailed and intricate. Glass cutting experience is not necessary, but students who are comfortable cutting glass may use that skill to create more complex designs. The instructor will provide guidance and alternative techniques so everyone can create successful, polished ornaments.

Let's get ready for the Holiday gift giving season! In this fast-paced workshop, you may complete as many suncatcher type ornaments as you can. Many patterns will be available. Let's have some fun. This workshop is open to participants with previous glass experience.

Prerequisite: Must have completed GLA108, Step 2. Must be capable of working independently.

Create a meaningful fused glass cross depicting the Nativity in this thoughtfully guided class. Students will design a cross approximately 12" tall, incorporating the Nativity scene using frit, stringers, and pre-made glass embellishments to add color, texture, and depth. The finished piece will be designed to hang on the wall, making it a beautiful expression of faith and a cherished seasonal display. Glass cutting experience is helpful but not necessary.

Bring the sparkle of stained glass into your home. No glass cutting required. In this hands-on 2-3 hour workshop, choose from a variety of laser-cut wooden frames (6", 12") and fill the open spaces with crushed glass, resin, mica pigments and embellishments to create a light-catching faux stained glass panel or sun catcher.

Whether you pick a delicate floral, whimsical animal, seasonal motif, or a geometric modern panel, the laser-cut frames provide the crisp, professional outlines so you can focus on color, texture and design. No drawing or glasswork needed. Participants will take home a finished faux stained glass panel or suncatcher ready to hang in a sunny window (or a mostly finished piece that needs resin curing at home if timing requires.

In this class, students will design a decorative glass surface using frit, stringers, vitrograph, and confetti to build layers of color, texture, and movement.
