In this 2-day workshop, learn how to form, shape, texturize, and color Niobium metal to create earrings or pendants. Niobium is a reactive metal that allows you to create a beautiful oxide layer on its surface creating a rainbow of colors. It can be formed and shaped using simple tools. It is Hypoallergenic and is a perfect material for anyone with metal sensitivities. Each student will be furnished with enough material to create several pairs of earrings or 1-2 pendants.
Day One: Conceptualize then form and finish each piece. This is when the surfaces will be texturized, edges filed and sanded, and dimension will be created. All necessary findings and connections will be made so that pieces only need to be anodized the next day. All finishing must be completed before anodizing.
Day Two: Demonstrations of anodizing will be shown and color charts will be available to guide you in your addition of color to your pieces. Finally, students will use a power source to anodize their pieces in the colors they choose.

In this Intermediate level class, students will learn the art of fusing silver pieces together only using a torch without the benefit of solder. As they work, adding layers of silver sheet or wire to be fused until their piece is fully designed and functional. They will add bails or jump rings or even create a ring!
Students will learn the process of depletion gilding to remove any fire scale and finally they will make design choices regarding their surface textures. This is a fast-paced class of intense learning opportunities. Take your skills to the next level and learn to control the torch and “read” the metal.

An easy beginner-friendly bracelet that anyone can do and make a gorgeous beaded bracelet. This project uses only 4 components- seed beads, jump rings, leather cord and a decorative button but makes a beautiful and elegant finished piece. Materials will be supplied.

They Spin! Another Earring Challenge to love. You are going to adore these sweet little earrings. In this Earring Challenge, each student will be shown how to fashion little pinwheels from copper and then they will use a torch to add wonderful colors to them. Use copper tube to make the ‘stick” and add sterling ear wires.

In this class, students will learn how to make this big and bold ring. This ring is suitable for both men and women. It is very substantial and makes a statement. Students will learn how to make a flat bundle of square wires so that they can smoothly wrap in half-round wire. Once bound, they will learn how to form the ring in any size they choose.

In this class, we will make a larger 10 inch tree of life suitable for wall or window. This tree will not only incorporate gemstones put a myriad of other objects as well so as to create a tree truly full of life with birds and animals. The Tree of Life is a powerful symbol of family, renewal and growth. In this course the student will learn the skills needed to complete a wire wrapped Tree of Life with gemstone "leaves," and birds and animals.
We will also discuss how to utilize these same skills to create larger pieces suitable for hanging. This piece can be completed within 2 hours. Some tools, such as pliers and nippers will be provided by the instructor.
