Love the softness of a chunky knit blanket? Make a super soft chunky knit pillow to rest your head. These attractive 18x18 pillows will be knit by using only your hands. You will have a minimum of 4 colors to choose from to make your beautiful pillow. 

Dating back to 7th century, Temari is a wadded fabric or thread ball, wrapped with strips of colorful threads to create decorative and intricate displays of patterns. Temari is a cherished gift symbolizing deep friendship and loyalty, wishing recipients good fortune and happy life.

Participants will learn the Japanese art of stitching colorful designs onto thread-wrapped balls, starting with the fundamental skills like wrapping a base, then progressing to basic stitches to create patterns, all while learning the history and mindfulness of this traditional craft.

Who doesn't like to cuddle up with a soft, chunky blanket?  Come and learn how to hand knit a chunky knit blanket from scratch.  We will teach you to make a throw blanket (approximate size is 40" x 50") using just your hands.  Each participant will receive five skeins of chunky yarn to make their own creation.  Participants will have the opportunity to choose up to two colors for their blanket.  Average size is 40" x 50" however final size is dependent upon each person's preference when making.  Everyone will leave with their finished product.
