Known for delivering many of the powerful editing features of professional software without the steep learning curve, Photoshop Elements is an ideal program for anyone who wants to enhance, restore, design, and personalize images with confidence.

You’ll learn how to use essential tools, add text, work with layers, and unlock the flexibility that makes everything from photo corrections to creative projects possible. With more than four decades of teaching experience, Stue makes learning Photoshop clear, practical, and fun. Any version of Photoshop Elements may be used, though having the program at home is recommended for continued practice.

This course moves beyond basic camera settings to explore the art of visual structure. Students will learn to intentionally arrange elements, lines, shapes, and color, to guide a viewer's eye and create impactful narratives. One of the classes will be a trip to Sholom Park, allowing students to apply skills learned in the classroom, and these images will be reviewed in class. Equipment requirement: DSLR or Mirrorless Camera.

Explore a universe within’ our reach with macro photography. Learn how to capture close-up images of small subjects, including bugs, flowers and more. Equipment and technical basics will be introduced to students, along with covering the topics of composition and the art of imaging water droplet refractions. One of the classes will be a trip to Shalom Park, allowing students to apply the techniques learned in the classroom. The last class will be a review of student images and wrap up discussions on the world of macro photography. Equipment requirement: DSLR camera (tripod, macro lens optional)

Take your Photoshop Elements skills to the next level in this advanced, hands-on class, exploring even more creative and exciting ways to transform your images. Photoshop Elements is a powerful yet approachable program, offering tools for layers, effects, retouching, and design that let you turn ordinary photos into something extraordinary. Building on skills from Photoshop I, students will expand techniques and gain the guidance and confidence to create "magic" with their images from home. Prior completion of Photoshop I is recommended.
