Join us to learn about Florida's interconnected waters from crystal-clear springs and wetlands to the aquifer beneath our feet. We will talk about local efforts to protect our water resources and create individual art pieces that tell the story of our personal connections to and experiences with water.

Your Florida-Friendly Yard Series

If you'd like to learn how your yard can be colorful, beneficial to pollinators and other wildlife, can conserve water, reduce chemical usage, and save you money and maintenance, join us for this 4-part Florida-Friendly Landscaping series with the UF/IFAS Marion County Extension Service faculty and Master Gardeners. The Florida-Friendly Landscaping (FFL) program is statewide from the University of Florida to promote attractive, low-maintenance and sustainable landscapes that protect our state's natural resources. Participants get educational material, soil testing kits, and optional free yard evaluations. Participation in the first two sessions is required to receive the optional free yard evaluation.

Master Gardeners: Hole Makers - Critters that Dig in Your Yard NEW!

What is making those holes in my yard and what can I do about it? Jo will discuss some of the critters that dig in our yards, what they eat and how to discourage them in environmentally appropriate ways.
