Florida has over 72 rivers and over 50,000 miles of rivers and streams. These ecosystems can provide significant recreational enjoyment to residents and visitors. However, they can also cause concerns for residents due to flooding, pests, weeds, snakes and environmental changes. Rivers provide important habitat that is monitored for nutrient pollution and water quality which is often impacted by nearby urbanization.

Come explore the health values of herbs used as seasoning in the foods we prepare. The class covers how to grow herbs, ways to use them and the benefits. You'll even get to try a recipe in class.

This course will discuss wildlife species that are frequently considered to cause nuisance issues and available management techniques. It will focus on invasive and naturalized species including coyotes, black bear, armadillos, and others.
