Bay Laurel Water: Behind-the-Scenes Field Trip

Water is a valued commodity, especially here in Florida. Learn more about the complexities of water procurement here at On Top of the World as well as water treatment and waste water disposal. Join staff on this behind-the-scenes tour of our facilities. Limited to 13 students; registration is required. The bus leaves at 9:00 AM but you need to check in first at Master the Possibilities Education Center (please bring drinking water).

Behind-the-Scenes Tour: E-ONE's Emergency Vehicle Manufacturing NEW!

Join us for an exclusive field trip to E-ONE, Ocala's global leader in emergency response vehicle manufacturing. This tour offers a unique opportunity to explore their recently expanded 442,000 square-foot facility, where innovative fire trucks and rescue vehicles are designed and built. Learn about the intricate process behind creating aerial ladders, custom pumpers, aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles, and more. Discover how E-ONE's state-of-the-art technology and skilled workforce of nearly 1,000 employees ensure world-class quality and safety in every vehicle. This tour is perfect for anyone interested in manufacturing, emergency services, or cutting-edge industrial processes.

Location: 1601 S.W. 37th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474

Start Time: The tour will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Please plan to arrive early for check-in and parking.

Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are required. Anyone wearing open-toed shoes will be denied entry.

Important Reminders:

  • Carpooling Recommended: If you do not already have a ride, you may meet at the MTP lobby to try and connect with others who may be interested in carpooling. Be sure to arrive early.
  • Walking Distance: The tour is just over a mile long—wear comfortable shoes and please be prepared for walking.
  • Safety Gear: All attendees will be issued safety glasses and earplugs/headphones upon arrival.
  • Weather Considerations: Depending on conditions, umbrellas may be useful. Adjustments will be made as needed.
  • Meeting Point: Registered Participants will gather at the Welcome Center under the front overhang before the tour begins.
  • Parking: Parking arrangements are being finalized and may be limited. Please allow extra time to find a spot.

Tour of the Ocala Fire Museum

This museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the city's history with an impressive collection of fire related memorabilia. Thousands of items are on display including a segment of 9/11 World Trade Center steel, antique fire extinguishers, early medical equipment, a life net, fire alarm boxes, firefighting uniforms, a collection of international fire helmets and so much more. Learn about the devastating Thanksgiving Day Fire of 1883, why fire uniforms are blue in color, and other interesting information during this guided tour.

Registered students meet at: 615 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Ocala FL 34475. Parking is available for the Ocala Fire Museum near the police station or the fire station. The first responder complex is located just north of the railroad track and Madison Street Elementary school.

Behind the Scenes at The Marion County Courthouse

Join us for a tour of the Marion County Courthouse where you will hear from participants in the judicial system including State Attorney Bill Gladson, judges, attorneys, and the Marion County Sheriff's Office. Participants will meet at 10 am at the State Attorney's Office on the fifth floor of the Marion County Courthouse located at 110 NW 1st Ave, Suite 5000, Ocala. Fl. 34475.  The tour will last 2 hours.
