Behind the Scenes   

Join AdventHealth for the opportunity to learn about their hospital's long history in Marion County. Take a tour of their important departments and see how technology is enhancing their patients' outcomes. Attendees should be prepared to walk and stand for approximately 90 minutes. Complimentary valet parking is available.

This museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the city's history with an impressive collection of fire related memorabilia. Thousands of items are on display including a segment of 9/11 World Trade Center steel, antique fire extinguishers, early medical equipment, a life net, fire alarm boxes, firefighting uniforms, a collection of international fire helmets and so much more. Learn about the devastating Thanksgiving Day Fire of 1883, why fire uniforms are blue in color, and other interesting information during this guided tour.

Registered students meet at: 615 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Ocala FL 34475. Parking is available for the Ocala Fire Museum near the police station or the fire station. The first responder complex is located just north of the railroad track and Madison Street Elementary school.

Circle Square Cultural Center (CSCC) brings world-class performers to an 930-seat entertainment venue in Ocala, FL. Each event on the schedule involves a tremendous amount of planning and preparation. Come behind the scenes with Gary Pierre, Jessica Marshall and Gary Manges to see the "green" rooms, where performers do make-up and costuming. Learn about the front of the house and backstage equipment management. The team shares information about how shows are booked, sometimes years in advance, and what it takes to bring a group to the CSCC stage. Hear insider stories about show production, which are interesting as well as entertaining! After attending this class, you will never again think about a concert in the same way.

Join us for a presentation from our very own construction team to learn about the techniques and features of homes built at On Top of the World. Learn about all construction stages, as well as exactly what the HERS, Energy Star and Florida Water Star rating entails. Students will meet the instructor at the MTP building and then drive to the model row homesite.

Come join us on a tour of your local Marion County Fire rescue station as they show us their daily operation. You will enjoy an engaging and educational experience that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations of firefighters, EMTs and their equipment, as well as discussing fire safety.

Join us for a continuation from our very own construction team for a tour of an active construction site.  The team will point out and demonstrate some the techniques and features of homes built at On Top of the World. Learn about the various construction stages as we tour parts of the community.  Students are required to wear closed toe shoes. Students will meet the instructor at the MTP building to head prior to driving into the field in the bus.

Walk along with Managing Director Robert Colen, and Park Manager Brian DeVane, as they share how it all began and show you a "peace" of Sholom in this interactive Walk and Talk experience. Registered students will meet at the pavilion near the restrooms.

Join us for an exclusive field trip to E-ONE, Ocala's global leader in emergency response vehicle manufacturing. This tour offers a unique opportunity to explore their recently expanded 442,000 square-foot facility, where innovative fire trucks and rescue vehicles are designed and built. Learn about the intricate process behind creating aerial ladders, custom pumpers, aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles, and more. Discover how E-ONE's state-of-the-art technology and skilled workforce of nearly 1,000 employees ensure world-class quality and safety in every vehicle. This tour is perfect for anyone interested in manufacturing, emergency services, or cutting-edge industrial processes.

Start Time: The tour will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Please plan to arrive early for check-in and parking.

Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are required. Anyone wearing open-toed shoes will be denied entry.

• Location: Participants will arrive directly at 1601 S.W. 37th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474 unless you wish to attempt and carpool as parking is limited.
• Carpooling Recommended: If you do not already have a ride, you may meet at the MTP lobby to try and connect with others who may be interested in carpooling, if there are any others attempting to do so. Be sure to arrive early.
• Walking Distance: The tour is just over a mile long—wear comfortable shoes and please be prepared for walking.

Enjoy a morning at Silver Springs State Park learning about the natural and cultural/historical resources of the area. Group will meet at the archway (main entrance off Rt 40) by no later than 9 a.m. Participants will spend the morning with a Park Ranger to learn about the importance of the Silver River, starting near the head spring.
After a Glass Bottom Boat tour, they will walk along the Ross Allen Boardwalk and Blue Trail to take a tram ride (uncushioned) through the Sandhill Natural Community, with the last stop at the Silver River Museum. After the museum, they will tram back to the main entrance. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and must be able to walk at least one mile, some on uneven ground.

Cost includes: park ranger tour, glass bottom boat ride, and tram ride. Students will drive to the location and meet at the Entry Arch to Silver Springs State Park by no later than 9 a.m. using the following address: 5656 East Silver Springs Blvd, Silver Springs FL 34488.

Trusses are the structural component of the house that provide the framework for the roofing system.

In this class, we will visit the Manning Building Supplies Truss Plant here in Ocala to see the manufacturing process first-hand. We will learn how trusses are designed and assembled.
