This introductory course covers the fundamentals of candle making, including materials, tools, safety considerations, and basic pouring techniques. Students will learn how these foundational skills can be applied to create unique novelty candles inspired by designs seen in department stores. By the end of the session, each participant will craft their own one-of-a-kind novelty candle to take home.

Starting at ground zero we will explore the tools, terminology, and technology that go into creating these beautiful fabric creations. We will examine and discuss various quilting techniques, then incorporate that information into a small project designed to be completed within the classroom time. Who doesn't like to cuddle up with a soft, chunky blanket?  Come and learn how to hand knit a chunky knit blanket from scratch.  We will teach you to make a throw blanket (approximate size is 40" x 50") using just your hands.  Each participant will receive five skeins of chunky yarn to make their own creation.  Participants will have the opportunity to choose up to two colors for their blanket.  Average size is 40" x 50" however final size is dependent upon each person's preference when making.  Everyone will leave with their finished product.  

Tired of the same old door mat? Create one that you paint yourself! Mats are 18"x24" and you will choose from a variety of stencils to create your own!

In this advanced candle-making course, participants will explore the art of creating decorative whipped novelty candles that are both functional and visually striking. The session begins with a brief review of foundational candle-making techniques and the use of color to enhance design. Students will then learn specialized whipping methods using a provided hand-held mixer. By the end, each participant will craft a unique candle to keep or gift.

Prerequisite: Completion of Candle Making Level 1 is required.

In this introductory course, participants will learn to create a scented candle that doubles as a nourishing massage oil for the skin. The class covers basic candle-making techniques, the use of essential oils, and the specific recipe for crafting massage candles.
