Hand Knit Chunky Blanket Making

Who doesn't like to cuddle up with a soft, chunky blanket?  Come and learn how to hand knit a chunky knit blanket from scratch.  We will teach you to make a throw blanket (approximate size is 40" x 50") using just your hands.  Each participant will receive five skeins of chunky yarn to make their own creation.  Participants will have the opportunity to choose up to two colors for their blanket.  Average size is 40" x 50" however final size is dependent upon each person's preference when making.  Everyone will leave with their finished product.

What to Bring: Your own sewing machine, basic sewing kit (scissors, pins/clips, matching thread), and your choice of 2 fabulous fabrics or the same.  1/2 yard of each fabric.

To make sure your hat looks professional and stays sturdy, please bring the following:

Faux Stained Glass- Crushed Glass and Resin Art Suncatchers NEW!

Bring the sparkle of stained glass into your home. No glass cutting required. In this hands-on 2-3 hour workshop, choose from a variety of laser-cut wooden frames (6", 12") and fill the open spaces with crushed glass, resin, mica pigments and embellishments to create a light-catching faux stained glass panel or sun catcher.

Whether you pick a delicate floral, whimsical animal, seasonal motif, or a geometric modern panel, the laser-cut frames provide the crisp, professional outlines so you can focus on color, texture and design. No drawing or glasswork needed. Participants will take home a finished faux stained glass panel or suncatcher ready to hang in a sunny window (or a mostly finished piece that needs resin curing at home if timing requires.

What's Included:

  • Choice of laser-cut frame (multiple designs and sizes available: 6" & 12")
  • Assortment of crushed glass, glass nuggets, shells, and mix-ins (glitter, mica powders, etc.)
  • Art-grade epoxy resin and resin supplies (mixing cups, stir sticks, heat gun/torch for bubbles)
  • Acrylic paints or stains to finish/paint the frame if desired
