This special family program blends generations and enables grandparents (or parents) to participate in a class with a youthful partner. This listing is in date order.

Please note the following registration options related to Ageless Adventures programs:

Any child registered for courses must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in order to attend classes. Attending adults must attend with a child. Adults cannot register without an attending child.

  • Per Child – When enrolling for this course, you will register each child using the child’s name*. The parent/guardian can attend without registration.
  • Per Project – When enrolling for this choice, you will enroll one (1) child* to complete one (1) project, which can include the adult assisting in the completion of the project. If you instead choose to make individual projects, you will need to register the child* and adult separately. Additionally, if you have more than one (1) child and you wish each child to complete their own project, you will need to register each child* separately.
  • Per Person – Each child* and adult must register separately. (Adults cannot register without an attending child.)

* When registering a child, if an account has not already been created for the child, you must create an account using the child’s name and complete all other account information using the parent/guardian contact details.

There is a 14 business day cancellation policy for all Ageless Adventures classes. Adults must attend with a child.

Let's Try Golf (Ages 7+)

Our PGA and LPGA instructors will introduce basic skills and techniques of golf.  All students will learn proper grip, stance, posture, and swing fundamentals.  Students will also be introduced to proper golf course etiquette and rules so they can gain an understanding of the overall game of golf.

Dress Code- 

Men:  Shirts with sleeves and collars.  Slacks or mid-length shorts.  No denim, sweat pants, basketball shorts or swim suits. 

Ladies:  Blouses with a collar or blouses without a collar must have sleeves.  Mid length shorts.  No denim, sweat pants, basketball shorts or swim suits.

Oceanic Artistry: Craft Paper Mache Jellyfish Together (Ages 6+)

Dive into a creative journey that transcends age barriers! Join our unique course, "Oceanic Artistry," designed for the young and young at heart to collaborate and craft their own mesmerizing paper mâché jellyfish. This multi-day adventure offers a perfect blend of fun, learning, and quality time together. Work hand-in-hand to sculpt the bodies of jellyfish using balloons, old newspapers, and a special homemade paper mâché mix. (Latex balloons will be used as the mold)

Fused Glass Keychain Or Magnet (Ages 8+) NEW!

Students will have an opportunity to create cute animal keychains or magnets by gluing scrap glass pieces to a background.  Students can make up to 3 keychains/magnets.

Bring your popcorn and candy and enjoy this popular family movie in Live Oak Hall. The movie is "How to Train Your Dragon." (2010).   All ages are welcome; movie is rated PG. You are also welcome to bring your favorite blanket and pillow for the show.

Wild Florida Wildlife (Ages 5+) NEW!

Look and listen. Do you hear that bird singing? Did you see that fox squirrel leap into the trees? Join us at Sholom Park to learn about some of the wonderful wildlife that call Florida home. We'll wander around to look and listen for wildlife at the park and play some fun games. We'll also make pinecone bird feeders for you to take back home. MTP cannot guarantee food allergy prevention. Please note: Peanut Butter will be used.

Robotics for Kids (Ages 8+)

Kids will learn the benefits of robotics used in manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, agriculture, construction, space exploration and military defense. The teacher will demonstrate robotic functions with his programmable robot and show the kids how you can change commands to the robot from a computer or an iPad. The kids will have an opportunity to build their own miniature robot, choosing from 15 different miniature motorized robots that walk, crawl, roll and spin. This will give kids a hands-on introduction to the basics of mechanical engineering. There is a $24 supply fee payable to the instructor when arriving to class for the robot the child gets to choose and keep.

Fused Glass Nightlights (Ages 8+)

**If you choose to each make a fused glass nightlight, you will need to register the child and adult separately.

Not just fun, but functional too!  Enjoy 60 minutes of fun with color, shapes, and imagination. Each individual child will create a piece of artwork using cut up pieces of glass, like a mosaic. The pieces will be glued to a base and fired in a kiln to 1385 degrees, then glued to the nightlight. Projects must be left with the instructor and picked up 3 days later from the MTP Office.

Paint Your Own Gnome (Ages 8+)

Join us for an exciting and interactive clay gnome painting workshop where both kids and adults will collaborate to unleash their creativity! Participants will have the opportunity to work together in glazing their own gnome, infusing it with unique personalities and charm. With a wide array of vibrant colors to choose from, every gnome will reflect its creator's imagination. All necessary supplies, tools, and firings are included in the workshop. Once completed, pick up your finished gnomes on Friday, July 11th, between 1-3pm at MTP, ready to adorn your home with whimsical delight!

Florida's Fascinating Pollinators (Ages 5+) NEW!

"Is a beetle a pollinator? What about an ant? Or a fly? Come learn about the fascinating pollinators we have in Florida and how they contribute to our ecosystems!" In the class, participants will learn about some common, but lesser known, pollinators and talk about their importance. Kids will receive magnifying glasses to help locate some of these crawling pollinators on plants throughout Sholom Park.

Exciting Adventure: Conquering Obstacles With Maureen (Ages 5+)

Participants will vary their pace of movements as we switch our exercises around the paths in Shalom Park. We will do a fast walk, turn the walk into a skip, then a frog hop. Join us to find out what other surprise moves we will be doing. There is no competition, just fun and games and enjoyment in the Park.

This year's bottle rocket adventure includes a bottle rocket kit, minus the launch pad. Come join us on a rocket building adventure. Win The Race: Pinewood Derby (Ages 5+)

pinewood derby car imageMaybe you remember Cub Scout events of building and racing your pinewood car. Maybe you don't know what a pinewood car or race is. Either way, come join the fun. We'll take a wooden shell, made of pine, of course, and assemble its wheels and accessories. We'll paint and decorate the cars and then race them for a prize! You get to keep your Pinwood car once you create it!

Up Up and Away! Radio Controlled Airplanes (Ages 6+)

Come explore the exciting world of radio-controlled airplane flying. Come watch experienced R/C pilots fly airplanes on a runway built just for them and learn about how they are controlled, built, and maintained. Note: Registered students will meet at the MTP Lobby and from there we will travel together by caravan to OTOW air field. Please bring your own chairs.

Join Tina Carchia to learn some skills with acrylic paints. With step-by-step instructions, you will have fun painting a colorful wooden turtle using a "paint-n-pour" technique making each project totally unique.  You may choose to paint one painting together or each paint your own work of art.
