Learn how to play the violin. This course will get you started with all of the basic skills and techniques including proper posture related to holding the instrument and bow, how to produce a good tone, how to understand and play a scale, and how to play a simple song.

Ready to take your guitar skills to the next level? This course is designed for players who are comfortable with the basics and want to expand their abilities. Instruction will be tailored to the group's goals and may include advanced chord structures, picking and fingerpicking techniques, bass runs, and playing leads. Students will also learn how to read song charts, with a focus on popular, folk, and rock music rather than jazz or classical styles. Whether you want to refine your technique or explore new sounds, this class offers the tools to help you grow as a guitarist. Please bring your own acoustic guitar.

In this class, “jamming” means making music together in a relaxed, non-performance setting—simply sharing songs and enjoying the experience. While guitars, ukuleles, banjos, fiddles, and mandolins are most common, any acoustic (non-electric) instrument is welcome.

Designed for beginner and intermediate musicians with little or no group-playing experience, this course helps you build confidence and develop the skills to join any jam session. A basic level of musicianship is required—for example, guitarists should know all basic chords.

Sessions follow a friendly circle format, with each participant taking a turn to introduce a song for the group to play together. You can bring printed copies to share, or find songs from online sources. Along the way, you’ll learn essential jamming etiquette, tips for choosing songs, and how to confidently present and start a tune. Come ready to play, learn, and enjoy the camaraderie of making music with others. Please bring your acoustic instrument of choice.

This is a great course for anyone that's been wanting to learn how to play the piano. This course builds upon the knowledge acquired from Beginning Piano 101A. The student will learn how to read a more expanded palette of notes, build on their music theory knowledge and learn to play additional songs. Keyboards and lesson books will be provided with a materials fee. Students are required to complete Beginning Piano 101A before signing up for 101B. Class size is limited to ten students.

Building on the skills developed in Piano 101B, this course introduces more challenging songs while expanding participants’ understanding of intervals, scales, and key signatures. Keyboards will be provided. Participants must bring the lesson books purchased for Piano 101B. Prerequisite: Completion of Piano 101A and Piano 101B is required. Class size is limited to ten students.

This course expands the student's knowledge on reading music, adding more complex rhythms to their song repertoire. Music theory, including intervals, key signatures, dynamics and music terminology are reinforced throughout the course.

Keyboards and lesson books will be provided. Students are required to complete Beginning Piano 101A, 101B and 101C before signing up for Piano 102A.
