Vibrational Medicine is an ancient therapeutic practice, 'bathing' the listener in sound waves and vibrations produced by various instruments. Gong Flow, Rhythm Harps, Healing Drums, Tibetan Bowls, Vocals and various acoustics. The program will conclude with a group planetary meditation.

Note: Please bring a yoga mat, blanket or meditation cushion.

The course begins with the basics, teaching the student how to read music, navigate the keyboard and play songs with both hands. Keyboards and lesson books will be provided with a materials fee. Class size is limited to ten students.

This course builds upon the knowledge acquired from Beginning Piano 101A. The student will learn how to read a more expanded palette of notes, build on their music theory knowledge and learn to play additional songs. Keyboards and lesson books will be provided with a materials fee. Students are required to complete Beginning Piano 101A before signing up for 101B. Class size is limited to ten students.

This course continues to build upon the skills acquired from Beginning Piano 101B. The student will learn how to play more difficult songs, understand intervals, scales and key signatures. Keyboards will be provided, and students are required to bring the lesson books purchased for the Beginning Piano 101B course. Students are required to complete Beginning Piano 101A and 101B before signing up for 101C. Class size is limited to ten students.

This course expands the student's knowledge on reading music, adding more complex rhythms to their song repertoire. Music theory, including intervals, key signatures, dynamics and music terminology are reinforced throughout the course.

Keyboards and lesson books will be provided. Students are required to complete Beginning Piano 101A, 101B and 101C before signing up for Piano 102A. This course expands upon the knowledge acquired in Piano 102A. Students will learn to play the melody in the right hand, while chording in the left. They will also be introduced to chords, chord progressions and additional scales.

This course adds additional music theory including scales, intervals, chords and song structure. The student will have the opportunity to play songs that are at a higher skill level. Keyboards and lesson books will be provided. Students are required to complete Piano 102A and 102B before signing up for Piano 103A. This course will explain and demonstrate the basic elements of music theory. The course is designed to be useful for musicians of any instrument, as well as non-musicians who want to enhance their ability to understand and appreciate the music we all listen to.

We will begin by exploring the major scale and see how all other scales are derived from it. We will explain and demonstrate the different intervals between notes and how to recognize them in the popular songs we listen to. We will introduce the famous “Circle of Fifths” and show how useful that can be to understanding music.

We will discuss and demonstrate the three different chord families and examine how they provide the foundation and harmony for any piece of music. The relationship between chord harmony and the melody of individual notes will be explored. We will demonstrate different types of rhythms that are characteristic of different types of music. Finally we will introduce the basic concepts of reading sheet music using the Treble Clef.

You do not have to be a musician to take this class. You need only provide the curiosity of how music works. Some keyboards, guitars, ukuleles, and bongos may be used to demonstrate the topics discussed.

This course is primarily designed for beginners or people who haven't played for a long time. The course can also provide a concise review of basic techniques for people who do have a background with playing guitar. The goals of the course include:

• Undestanding how to play melody notes in First Position. 
• Learning the G, C and D chords (more if you are able!)
• Understanding Tab notation for notes and chords.

In this presentation, Alvin Ross will take participants on a journey from Frank Sinatra to KISS; Tony Curtis to Elton John; Jacques Cousteau to Rod Stewart, with stops along the way. These stops include stories about Tina Turner, Bette Midler, Glen Campbell, Merle Haggard, REM, Jerry Lewis, Ferrari, The Beach Boys, Joe Cocker, Barry Manilow, Dave Mathew Band, Paul McCartney, Grand Funk Railroad, Three Dog Night, Ringo Starr, and the Everly Brothers.
