Developed by Donna Dewberry, this technique is designed to bring out the artist in everyone with just a few simple basic one stroke painting combinations, and is for absolute beginners and those who have dabbled with painting before! Certified instructor Teri will guide you through the steps to paint a variety of designs such as; flowers, vines, leaves, as well as how to blend colors, care for brushes, and much more.

Beginners will be surprised at how fun and quick it is to learn this method of painting! No previous painting experience is necessary. Students are required to bring own supplies. Join the fun and learn how to paint on an assortment of rocks (students may bring their own rocks, but not necesary). It's easy to create a variety of designs and change the look of a rock into a fun and unique work of art. Use rocks for meditation, friendship exchange, decorations, or just for FUN. No experience or supplies needed, bring an apron.

 

In this class, students will investigate different methods to engage in the art making process of painting a butterfly and embellishing a wooden cigar box. Ornate feet will be added to elevate the box. Cigar boxes range in size from 5"x5" to 5"x7." Acrylic paint and brushes to use will be provided during class.

You'll be amazed at how much fun and EASY it is to create free-form abstract designs using Alcohol Inks on various surfaces such as tiles, foil and acetate. 

No experience or supplies needed, just bring an apron.

Watercolor batik is a fascinating painting technique that combines ink, watercolor paint and melted wax on rice paper to create a stunning batik design. Teri will walk students through each step of the exciting process; inking the deign on paper, painting the design, waxing over the painted design, then ironing over it to remove and reveal the batik design.  

Students will have lots of designs to choose from and will go home with a practice piece AND a finished 8x10 painting. No experience or supplies required, just bring an apron, and LOTS of old newspapers.?
