Improve Your Balance in the Water

Every 20 minutes a person dies from a fall. If you are 70 years of age or older, you are four times more likely to fall than the population as a whole. The water is a great environment to improve strength and to improve your balance. The class targets stabilizing muscles which will help keep you on your feet. The class starts with basic simple balance exercises and slowly progresses to more challenging movements. It is held in the indoor pool at The Ranch. No swimming skills necessary.

Note: Students need to bring a bathing suit, change of clothes and towel for class. This class is being held at The Ranch Fitness Center & Spa.

This class focuses on strengthening the core, especially the abdominal muscles, through water-based exercises such as tucks, pelvic tilts, and targeted stretches. With an estimated 80% of adults experiencing low back pain at some point, this program aims to improve spinal alignment, pelvic stability, and overall mobility. Exercising in water reduces joint stress while increasing range of motion.
