Hydro-Pilates are non-impact strengthening and stretching movements that require precise breathing and muscle control utilizing the principles of stabilization, control, flow of movement, concentration, breathing, and full range of motion (ROM). These Pilates principles were developed by Joseph Pilates. The class will be held in the warm water pool at The Ranch. No swimming skills necessary.
Note: Students need to bring a bathing suit, change of clothes and towel for class. This class is being held at The Ranch Fitness Center & Spa.
Class members will warm up with traditional Yoga movements to warm the body and increase circulation followed by slowly entering into poses with an emphasis on binding movements. One instructor will demonstrate the move as the second instructor provides individual guidance to each yogi.

Restorative yoga is for everyone, no matter what state of fitness your body is in. You don't have to be strong or flexible. This style of yoga encourages deep physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. We start with a few very gentle movements and stretches to release stuck energy, so you can get the most benefit from the restorative poses, which are all about completely letting go. You also get a "musical massage," with some beautiful music--songs chosen especially to open the heart and touch the soul. Come rest, renew, reconnect, recharge, reboot, rejuvenate, and rejoice taking a mini retreat yourself.
