Introduction to the Quilting Arts NEW!

Have you ever seen a beautiful quilt and wished that you could make one?  Join our introduction to the quilting arts lecture and explore the methods, equipment and techniques required to make your own beautiful quilting blocks. This lecture/trunk show will give participants the information required prior to enrolling in the "Begin at the Beginning:  Quilting 101" course.

Pine Needle Basket Weaving

This six-hour course will teach participants how to make a pine needle basket, and the basics of the art. They will have finished a basket by the end of the second class, or will have the knowledge on how to finish the final details.

Begin at the Beginning: Quilting 101 NEW!

Starting at ground zero we will explore the tools, terminology, and technology that go into creating these beautiful fabric creations. We will examine and discuss various quilting techniques, then incorporate that information into a small project designed to be completed within the classroom time. Bring your own working sewing machine. Additional tools and supplies to be provided in class. This course will last three sessions.

Note: There is a supply fee for this class, and it is based upon the bottoms and thread that participants choose to use for basket creation.
